Physical Education (P.E.)
"Physical education is the development and maintenance of skills related to strength, agility, flexibility, movement and stamina; the development of knowledge and skills regarding teamwork and fair play; the development of knowledge and skills regarding nutrition and physical fitness as a part of a healthy lifestyle; and the development of positive attitudes regarding sound nutrition and physical activity as a component of personal well-being. For scholarship students, these services must be delivered in-person in the state of Florida."
P.E. With Power Stone
Power Stone offers PE programs in the category of fitness classes, though the main focus here is on Long-Term Youth Athletic Development. We particularly focus on developing strength, power, and fitness through gamified warm-ups that teach speed, agility, rate of force production, and change of direction.
In the weight room, your child will focus on developing strength through fundamental movement patterns — squatting, hinging (deadlift variations), pressing, pulling, core rotation, and lunging — for a complete, well-rounded approach to strength training.
What Makes Power Stone Different
We focus on developing capable, resilient young athletes and students through structured strength and conditioning, not just keeping your child "active."
Our small-group model allows students to receive individualized coaching and guidance while still benefiting from the motivation and social interaction of a group environment.
We do not believe in random workouts or oversized classes. Students follow a progressive program of strength training, conditioning, and explosive movements that increase their power output.
